The Joker, the Jester, the Clown ... by whatever name you care for, this grinning madcap figure can make us laugh, make us cringe, and sometimes even scare us silly. Whatever the Joker is doing in the moment, we can't help but pay attention as we know the antics will come with a needed dose of truth. Whether or not the jocularity makes the bitter pill easier to swallow, we still get told (or told off). And we can't kill the messenger, because the laughter never stops.
