As eye-grabbing as the the cover of a magazine promising to deliver a sensational story, the images of the Pulp Tarot speak to one on a visceral level with little room for subtlety. Perhaps the visuals (culled from magazine and book covers, and the occasional movie poster) lend themselves to some extreme interpretations, much as the cover of a pulp magazine might harp on that one red hot moment of a story therein. But sometimes you need that shocking graphic to get someone's attention.
